REDIAM. WMS HIC 3160-0 Natural dystrophic lakes and ponds (+)
Description
WMS service corresponding to the Habitat of Community Interest priority for Andalusia 3160-0, Lakes, lagoons and natural ponds characterized by natural contributions of organic matter, turboso substrate and high acidity. These aquatic environments are rich in humic acids, which gives the lagoon brown, brown or yellowish tones. They are often associated with marshy areas, in which the decomposition of organic matter is very slow. The plant communities of this habitat belong to the Order Utricularietalia, and the characteristic species are those of the genus Utricularia (extinct in Andalusia), Rynchospora modesti-lucennoi and several species of Sphagnum. The communities of Potamogeton polygonifolius have also been considered as indicators of HIC, as they are closely linked to dystrophic habitats.
