Description
The information contained in this data set is a raster with the bathymetry of the study area, with 200 m resolution, between 609 and 4835 m depth.
The area covered by the data provided covers SCI ESZZ12002 Banco de Galicia.
The production of this set of geographical information began in 2012, thanks to the BANGAL 0710 and BANGAL0711 oceanographic campaigns. In 2019, a reanalysis of these data was undertaken with new techniques and algorithms, improving the quality of the data.
The resulting geographic information is stored in a spatial database.
The reprocessing works have been financed thanks to the LIFE IP INTEMARES Project (LIFE-IP INTEMARES - Integrated, Innovative and Participatory Management for N2000 network in the Marine Environment - LIFE15 IPE/ES/000012). This integrated project has the challenge of laying the foundations to effectively manage the marine areas of the Natura 2000 Network and complete the work and progress promoted within the framework of the LIFE + INDEMARES project, which managed to take a great step in terms of declaring new areas.
