This service was set up in order to comply as efficiently as possible with any existing INSPIRE data provision obligations for all companies where VERBUND owns shares (with the exception of APG !!), provided that an obligation actually exists or is not independently covered.
This includes, in particular, the provision of POWER LOCATION DATA to power generation companies.

Through liquidation/mergers, VERBUND Renewable Power GmbH and VERBUND Thermal Power GmbH are now also fully integrated and covered by VERBUND Hydro Power GmbH (VHP).
Since INSPIRE does not exactly define which legal entity would now have to provide the services in the case of complex shareholding structures in accordance with INSPIRE, duplication of data will occur. Particularly because the companies are free to operate their own Inspire service and geospatial data points.
Due to the EU Unbundeling obligation, the Austrian Power Grid covers its Inspire obligations independently.
