Collection context
Layer carried out for the cartographic needs of the Higher Education and Research department of the Normandy Region, allowing to visualise the distribution of laboratories attached to Norman higher education and technological institutions. This data should also make it possible to view research structures as well as doctoral schools present in the territory.
A dynamic application is being created
It aims to overcome the lack of “general public” regional tools listing all higher education and research data in Normandy. Allow visitors to the website of the Normandy Region to obtain visual support to know the offer of higher education and research in Normandy and thus to guide them in their research/demarches.
Internally within the department, this database will allow us to emerge data that can be used for notes to elected officials and to enable the implementation of service policies/decision-making/evolution.

Collection method
The data comes from different sites, transmitted by the department of the Region via in particular dataesr@recherche.gouv.fr and crossed between them and then geolocated and verified.
