Germany - Elbe / Magdeburg - Flood situation on 10 June 2013 - Satellite / Aerial image information - P34

Description

Continued rainfall in recent days has led to heavy flooding in large parts of Germany. The local forces are supported by the Federal Police, the Bundeswehr and the Technische Hilfswerk. In Magdeburg, the Elbe reached a level of 7.46 meters at Magdburg-Strombrücke 7.37 meters. Since then, the level has declined and parts of the previously closed district have been released. Pléiades Data from 10 June 2013, 12:19 CET, with a spatial resolution of 0.5 meters serve as a background image. In the zoom boxes, an enlarged section is shown in the aerial and satellite image comparison. This product was created within the framework contract “ZKI-DE” between the Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI) and the German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR).
