Description
The interoperable INSPIRE-WFS Soil/Medium-scale agricultural site mapping Brandenburg is a download service that provides data in the Annex scheme Soil (derived from the original data set: Medium-scale agricultural site mapping Brandenburg). It gives an overview of the mapbook of medium-scale agricultural location mapping (MMK) developed in the GDR in the 1980s to describe the agricultural area on a scale of 1: 100 000. Detailed information on the creation, digitisation and application of the map book can be found at: http://www.geo.brandenburg.de/ows/htdocs/MMK_Dok_digitale_Daten_1997.pdf, as well as http://www.geo.brandenburg.de/ows/htdocs/29042020_MMK.pdf. According to the INSPIRE data specification Soil (D2.8.III.3_v3.0), the contents of the ground map are INSPIRE-compliant. The WFS includes the following feature types:
- derived profile (so:DerivedSoilProfile): A non-point soil profile that serves as a reference profile for a specific type of soil in a specific geographical area.
- Soil body (so:SoilBody): Delimited and homogeneous part of the floor covering with respect to certain soil characteristics and/or spatial patterns.

The compliant INSPIRE-WFS Soil is a download service that delivers data in the annex schema Soil (derived from the original data set: Medium-scaled agricultural soil survey Brandenburg). It provides an overview of the map series Medium-Scaled Agricultural Site Survey which was developed in the GDR in the 1980s to describe the agricultural land on a scale of 1 : 100 000. Detailed information on the creation, digitisation and application of the maps can be found at: http://www.geo.brandenburg.de/ows/htdocs/MMK_Dok_digitale_Daten_1997.pdf, and http://www.geo.brandenburg.de/ows/htdocs/29042020_MMK.pdf. The content of the soil map is compliant to the INSPIRE data specification for the annex theme Geology (D2.8.III.3_v3.0). The WFS includes the following feature types:
- the derived soil profile (so:DerivedSoilProfile): A non-point-located soil profile that serves as a reference profile for a specific soil type in a certain geographical area.
- soil body (so:SoilBody): Part of the soil cover that is delineated and that is homogeneous with regard to certain soil properties and/or spatial patterns.
