Route calculation services (Route calculation services)
Description
Route calculation based on REGIO navigation database data allows you to find your way in both client software and web application. The route calculation algorithm takes into account road surface information, directionality, track information, turning limits, maximum permitted speed, height limits, etc.
REGIO offers three different route calculation solutions:
1) the traditional calculation of the journey makes it possible to find a route between two or more points with instructions in Estonian or English;
2) the route optimisation service allows you to find the fastest or shortest route between several location points;
3) distance matrix service enables to find distances between different starting points and destinations, measured along the road.
Routing engine, based on Regio’s navigation data, gives opportunity to find routes in software or web applications. Routing algorithm considers road directions, tracks, turns, maximum permitted driving speed, height limitations etc.
REGIO offers three different solutions:
1) Simple routing requests offers to calculate routes with instructions in Estonian or English between two or more locations;
2) Route optimisation enables to find quick or shortest route between many different locations (also known as Traveling Salesman Problem);
3) Distance Matrix enables to find distances along the road between different starting and end points.
