Source: All drinking water protection areas except the Wachwitz and Karswald protected areas have been established on the basis of the Water Act of the former GDR and TGL 24383/02 (Industrial Standard of the GDR) and continue to be valid in accordance with § 123 SächsWG. New water protection areas (Wachwitz, Karswald) are established on the basis of WHG and SächsWG.
