Description

The longitudinal part of the road separated from the carriageway by the edge line. Piennar is divided into a coated shoulder and a crushed shoulder. The purpose of the veranda is to support the roadway, increase driving safety and the ability to move the road, and act as a temporary parking space for broken-down vehicles. If necessary, Piennar can also be used as a part of the road used for pedestrian and bicycle traffic.The crushed section of the road adjacent to the pavement of the pedestrian and bicycle traffic route is interpreted as a supporting square, usually 0.25 m wide. The Centres for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment are responsible for maintaining the information. Some of the data is produced through separate investments and projects (Geoviite).
