How and where do we want to live in Vienna? Many ask themselves this question, whether they have moved from distant parts of the world (= federal states!), the family is experiencing natural growth or one has not yet buried the hope of winning the lottery and is already looking for the area for a proper place to stay. Spinning Circle, a bicycle messenger service in Vienna, tries to give an answer with a variety of interactive maps of apartments, housing, buildings, community buildings, bicycle traffic but also cars. These maps are based on the Open Data offer of the City of Vienna. Did you know, * that it is in the 1. District (3 km2 area, 16,131 inhabitants) there are more apartments with 150 square meters and more usable area than in the districts 11, 10, 12 and 15 (total 67.09 km2 area, 445,555 inhabitants) combined? * that between 2002 and 2011 most of the buildings were completed in the "crisis year" of 2008? * that the number of cars per 1000 inhabitants will be lower, but only for low-powered cars? There has been an increase in high-powered cars. Of course, as a bicycle messenger service, we can not mediate an apartment, but you can refine your search grid with the knowledge from the maps. Please use the left arrow buttons to move the map. All the data is summarized under Overview, simply select the area of interest. Details contains all maps by district or counting district, you can view the maps with a click and remove them with a second click. Creating your own maps allows you to select the data of interest to you from the entire database, which you can also weight per 1000 inhabitants. Spinning Circle stands as a bicycle messenger service for fast and reliable delivery, we have also implemented these principles of speed and reliability with these maps in the presentation of information. We have only reciprocated the love with which the city of Vienna maintains its geodata and the generosity with which the city releases this data as open data.
