Telephone survey data of Helsinki-based companies

Description

The data include data from a business interview survey commissioned by the City of Helsinki and carried out by Taloustutkimus Oy for four reference years (2016, 2018, 2020 and 2023). The data contains the answers of about 4,000 Helsinki-based companies to questions that clarify the views of Helsinki-based companies on the factors affecting the city's vitality and business-friendliness. The data is very important in urban development. The report shows, among other things, how satisfied companies are with the City's services, how companies see Helsinki as a location and what kind of development proposals they make for the City's development. Of the four thousand responses, approximately one thousand are for each reference year. The defendants were Helsinki-based companies. The data for 2016-20 were collected by interviewing representatives of companies by phone. One interview lasted about 20 minutes. The 2023 survey, on the other hand, has been carried out as a telephone-informed online survey. In 2023, for the first time, an extensive report on the results was prepared by the City of Helsinki's Economic Development Department (Helsinki Business Survey 2023 – Views on the City's vitality factors, 41 p.) and summaries in Swedish and English. The report also contains a large number of open responses from companies. Periods of interviews: - 28.9.-25.10.2016 - 22.11.2018-4.1.2019 - 29.9.-3.11.2020 - 19.1.-23.3.2023 The 2023 questions were slightly modified from the previous ones. The names, business IDs and years of establishment of the respondent companies as well as the data of the respondent persons have been removed from the data. Data that can be used to identify respondents has been removed from open answers.
