Description
Database of the country's sports facilities and sports facilities, which is published in collaboration with the Danish Foundation for Culture and Sports Facilities.
You can search for facility types, municipalities/regions, ownership/types of operation and year, as well as download the facilities' GIS locations. At the same time, you have the opportunity to be presented with information about the selected facilities and municipalities/regions on maps, in heat maps or as tables.
The database will be gradually expanded with more facility categories. If you have information about facilities that are missing or should be corrected, please feel free to contact us.
Overall, two principles have guided the selection across the different facility categories:
1. The facility/facility must be dedicated to sport as a primary activity.
Premises and halls that are more exceptionally used for sport and have another primary function, e.g. classrooms, lecture halls, residents' rooms, exhibition halls, etc., are therefore not included in the database.
2. The sports facility shall be fully or partially open to the public.
Facilities reserved for closed groups are also not included in the database. This includes, for example, rehabilitation rooms and facilities for students, staff or local residents. The rule of thumb is that ordinary citizens, possibly for a fee or through an open association, must be able to access the facility.
