Naturally valuable habitats and land development in Austria.
Description
In this report, for the first time in Austria, undeveloped habitats valuable for nature conservation are identified that are located on dedicated building land. This situation entails conflicts, the possible development of which is analysed on the basis of scenarios. On the basis of today's land dedications, there is considerable risk potential, which will in future become even more acute. The results make it clear that an ambitious and effective reduction of future building land dedications and a planning tax on unavoidable dedications are of great urgency.
