Potential nitrate leaching hazard in the winter half-year (NAG)
Description
Potential nitrate leaching hazard based on the nitrate displacement depth in the winter half year and the effective rooting depth (NAG).
The basis of the procedure is the estimation of the nitrate shift depth in the winter half year, which is set via the quotient (QWeNv in relation to the effective rooting depth).
The characteristic value of the potential nitrate leaching hazard (NAG) is based solely on soil and climatic inputs and is not suitable for the derivation of quantitative statements on nitrate leaching, since the cultivated crop species, the amounts of nitrogen fed and the autumnal nitrate content in the soil are not taken into account.
The result is a metrically scaled, dimensionless characteristic.
