The map of carbon-rich soils is an excerpt from KBK25 and nomenclatically follows the soil mapping guide, 5th edition (KA5).
Carbon-rich soils here mean soils with corg content of at least 7.5% organic soil carbon or 15% organic soil substance in a horizontal or inclined soil layer of 10 cm thickness within the upper 40 cm of the profile:
