Environmental Vision - Wind Energy Locations
Description
These are locations for which there is support from the relevant municipal councils (with the exception of Zaltbommel). Together with the existing locations and the locations under construction, sufficient space has been reserved to achieve the Gelderland target of 230.5 MW. The locations are indicatively indicated on the theme map Wind Energy from a well-considered search process. This file was adopted by the Provincial Council on 1 March 2017.
The map layers of wind energy from the environmental vision are a technical approach with which possibilities and limitations for wind energy have been mapped. After going through a participatory process and administrative coordination, search areas for wind energy have been included in the first version of the Regional Energy Strategies (RES1.0, 2021).
The information about wind in the environmental vision has now been overtaken by the RES.
