Aerial photographs of the city of Oulu
Description
Several ortho-pictures have been produced in the city of Oulu at different times and from different areas. The ortho-air image is a rectified aerial image that depicts the surface perpendicularly from the air, i.e. the distortion caused by the camera’s image projection and changes in the altitude of the terrain has been removed. Ortho-pictures are distributed in the City of Oulu WMS service as open data. The aerial photographs on the service are from 2012, 2017, 2018 and 2022 (centre).
Shooting times and terrain resolutions:
* – Oulu aerial photograph from 2012 was photographed on 14-21 August 2012. Terrain resolution 20 cm.
* – Oulu aerial photo 2017 was shot on 16 July 2017. Terrain resolution 20 cm
* – Oulu aerial photo from 2018 was photographed on 25 May 2018. Terrain resolution 10 cm.
* – Oulu city centre aerial photo 2022 was photographed on 24 May 2022. Terrain resolution 5 cm.
Maintenance coordinates ETRS-GK26FIN (EPSG: 3133), but the data can also be projected to other coordinate systems. You can check the supported coordinates in the interface service [GetCapabilities document] (https://e-kartta.ouka.fi/TeklaOgcWebOpen/WMS.ashx?SERVICE=WMS&REQUEST=GetCapabilities). You can use the URL (https://e-kartta.ouka.fi/TeklaOgcWebOpen/WMS.ashx) to access the spatial data software.
