Austria's National Inventory Report 2009
Description
The National Inventory Report 2009 (NIR 2009) presents a detailed methodological description of the Austrian Air Pollution Inventory for the greenhouse gases carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide as well as for industrial gases (HFCs, HFCs, SF6). Austria thus meets the requirements for transparent and comprehensible documentation required for English reporting on the Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Kyoto Protocol. This report contains sector-specific emissions from 1990 to 2007, emission factors and baseline data for emission calculations, as well as information for reporting under the Kyoto Protocol. In addition, the Federal Environment Agency documents the National Inventory System and quality assurance in the NIR 2009 as part of the emission balances monitoring body accredited in accordance with ISO/IEC 17020.
