Description
The hazard warning maps are to be developed gradually in the future for the entire country area. The areas within the proven and suspected danger areas do not necessarily have to be highly endangered or not buildable. In the run-up to the construction planning, however, an increased investigation effort with regard to slope stability is necessary and often structural adjustments of the structures are also to be provided for in the construction planning. Conversely, however, it cannot be concluded that construction measures that are outside the designated danger zones are in principle safe. The hazard warning cards should serve as a supplementary planning basis in the run-up to construction projects. However, they cannot and should not be understood as a substitute for project-related ground investigations in accordance with DIN 4020, which are generally recommended. Particularly when planning new building areas, ground investigations should be carried out at an early stage with special attention to possible risks.
