Information system extraction points (stones and earths)
Description
The information system “Professional Authorities” manages important data of all extraction centres which have been collected by the Geological Service North Rhine-Westphalia in the framework of the authorisation procedure since 1972 after the introduction of the Abgrabungsgesetz (21.11.1972). The database also contains altar excavations as far as they are known. The compilation does not guarantee an actual excavation activity, since only the application documents and the resulting authorisations are covered. The completeness of the presentation depends on the participation of the Geological Service in the subsequent authorisation procedure The attributes of over 8700 extraction sites (as of 01/2016) are managed in FB 21 in an ACCESS database. For the information system of the extraction sites, all geometry data of the mining surfaces were collected in vector form and integrated into “ArcGIS”.
