The approximately 570 km long route ran through the following stages (and lunch stations):
Bad Staffelstein — (Seßlach) — Bad Staffelstein — (Weismain) — Hollfeld — (Betzenstein) — Lauf an der Pegnitz — (Amberg) — Schwandorf — (Wörth an der Donau) — Deggendorf — (Ortenburg) — Bad Füssing — (Bad Griesbach) — Bad Füssing. Note: The signets shown on the routes mark the water and lunch breaks of the then tour.
