State photo of the offices Zweibrücken and Kirkel 1564 (HKST)
In 1589, the geometer and cartographer Tilemann Stoltz, called Stella, died.
On the occasion of his 400th year of death, our state office published in 1989 a facsimile of his “Landesaufnahme der Amt Zweibrücken und Kirkel des Herzogtums Pfalz-Zweibrücken”, which was carried out in 1564.
The multicoloured, original hand-drawn map set consists of 16 individual maps on an approximate scale of 1: 25 000 and a general map on an approximate scale of 1: 100,000.
Optionally, the map sheets and a 96-page text booklet on the life and work of Stella are handed over both collected in a folder and individually.
