Population density

Description

The Wizard system’s tenant density target category belongs to the Traffic Data Register’s Code figures and traffic data set. The population density target category was in the road register under the name TL 233 Population density. The target category contains information on the population density per square kilometre. The data is produced centrally by VTT using housing data from the building and apartment register. The population density is calculated using the spatial data programme for all roads. For the purpose of calculating the road network, from the beginning of each section of the road, the road network shall be divided into sections of 100 metres. At each end of the road cycle, the population density is calculated within a radius of 399 m, i.e. in the area of half a square kilometre. The average population density of the 100 m road period shall be the average of the population density of its ends. Values of less than 15 inhabitants/km² are not exported to Tievelho for data protection reasons. 100 m cycles are combined so that values greater than 99 are presented to the accuracy of two significant digits.
