Description
The presentation service for the Hydrogeological Overview of Saxony-Anhalt is being revised and is currently not available (end of Q1 2021).
The data level shows areas with different characteristics of the main aquifer. The legend units identify units with different geological properties that influence hydrological properties such as permeability and chemical environment of groundwater. Groups are formed by the overarching structure into loose rock, solid rock and mining main aquifers. The pore aquifers of loose rock comprise 8 stratigraphic and petrographic distinct units. The gap and karst aquifers of the solid rock are divided into 16 units. For the disturbance of the aquifer in areas disturbed by mining, areas with active mining and relocated waste material are distinguished.
