uncut low-traffic spaces (UZVR) for LEP
Description
The uncirculated low-traffic spaces (UZVR) were calculated for Saxony for the first time using the method of the federal uniform indicator landscape cutting (LIKI/UMK indicator 10) developed by the Länder Initiative Core Indicators (LIKI/UMK indicator 10). The data have been developed for the landscape programme and represent a balancing result. Therefore, they differ from the results presented in maps of the LfULG study on landscape cutting (https://publikationen.sachsen.de/bdb/artikel/13820 ) In this context, anthropogenic cutting elements with relevance for Saxony are taken into account: Roads with a modeled traffic strength of 1000 vehicles/24 h (BAB, federal and state roads, district roads), two-track railway lines and single-track electrified, in operation, local locations and airports. For roads and railway lines, tunnels from 1 000 m in length are considered to be interrupted (“cutting”). All UZVRs are included from a minimum size of 40 km². The UZVRs are in the size classes: 40-70 km², 70-100 km² and 100 km² shown. Highlights are UZVR with particularly high value for species and biotope protection as well as landscape-related recreation. They meet at least one of the following criteria: UZVR size & 100 km², UZVR with national park, nature park or biosphere reserve, FFH share or SPA share & 20 %, NSG share & 8 %, LSG share & 70 percent or UZVR are rated high or very high in terms of recreational suitability or landscape. These UZVRs are defined as objectives in the LEP 2013.
