Description
For the pollutants particulate matter (measured as PM10) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2), isolated
also in the case of sulphur dioxide (SO2), it has occurred in Austria in recent years – as well as in other countries.
European countries – spreading to exceedances. The exceedances of the limit values
in the case of PM10 and SO2, transboundary transport of pollutants in the extra-alpine
Austria made a significant contribution (UMWELTBUNDESAMT 2005c, 2006a).
