[DREAL OCCITANIA] Surfacial taxonomic list of Fauna and Flora in Occitanie
Description
Within the framework of the Occitanie Natural Heritage Inventory Information System (SINP-Oc) DREAL Occitanie, in accordance with the SINP protocol, makes available regional SINP data for consultation with State officials responsible for biodiversity issues, including knowledge, impact assessment and regulation. This provision concerns the services of the DREAL of the thirteen DDT(M) of the region as well as those of the regional branch of the OFB.
This is made available in the form of geomatic layers which can be consulted via two channels:
— on the Cartonat-PICTO portal of the DREAL Occitanie whose access is controlled via an account and a password distributed to the staff concerned.
— via QGis projects deposited on a server whose access is controlled via the allocation of read rights to the staff concerned.
The data made available shall be provided in a format derived from and compatible with the taxon occurrence standard (http://standards-sinp.mnhn.fr/category/standards/). In accordance with this standard, attributes can be used to answer WHO questions? (Author(s) of the observation), WHAT? (Name of taxon, habitat (references to TAXREF, HABREF)), QUAND? (Date of observation), O? (Geometry of connection of the observation (a point, a polygon, a transect, a commune, etc.), HOW? (Protocol or method of observation), WHY? (Acquisition framework and metadata sheet describing the attachment dataset)
The data made available concern both data validated by regional experts and data invalidated or questioned by regional experts. A significant volume of these data has not yet been subject to a validation process. Attributes describing the validation status of the data should therefore be consulted for a correct interpretation of the data.
It is also important to take into account when using these data their geometric accuracy (precisgeo attribute) and their observation date (risk of obsolescence of old data).
