Description
Land use (LN) describes the ‘characterisation of land according to its current function, its local implementation or its socio-economic purpose, such as residential, industrial or commercial areas, agricultural or forestry areas and recreational areas’ (cf. INSPIRE Directive). The term land use is used synonymously with the term land use. The object type catalogue of the LN contains the five object type groups settlement, transport and infrastructure, agriculture, forestry and fishing, water and no primary use, which are further subdivided into object, attribute and value types. The basis for this is the AAA® basic scheme.
