Transparency Platform NRW: Wind turbines and projects in accordance with the Citizens' Energy Act
Description
The expansion of wind energy is crucial to make energy supply more sustainable and to reduce dependence on fossil fuels. The NRW Citizens' Energy Act (BürgEnG), which entered into force on 28 December 2023, is intended to increase the acceptance of citizens and municipalities for this expansion by creating the legal basis for financial participation in newly planned wind turbines.
The online transparency platform (www.transparenzplattform.nrw.de) provides information on new projects within the scope of the BürgEnG and the respective participation models. It is part of the Energieatlas NRW (www.energieatlas.nrw.de), which is provided by the State Office for Nature, Environment and Consumer Protection NRW (LANUV).
The Excel table contains all data published on the transparency platform on the projects and the individual wind turbines.
