Tourist roads

Description

According to the definition of the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency, a tourist road is a road that has an exceptionally large number of sites that are significant for tourists in relation to its general traffic significance. In other countries, tourist routes have been defined in different ways, and depending on the case, the Finnish term "tourist route" can sometimes also be used for tourist routes classified in different ways in other countries. In Finland, the official tourist roads are marked with uniform, brown-based signs, which bear the names of the roads and the tourist road's own emblems. You can find accommodation, culture, eateries and great scenery along the tourist roads. Tourist roads, like museum roads, exist and are signposted on the basis of a decision. The decisions have been made by the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency, and Tievelho's operator is responsible for maintaining the information. The target category is not versionable.
