Carbon-rich soils in Lower Saxony 1: 50 000 for grassland conservation without sealed areas (WMS Service)
Description
According to §5(2) sentence 5 of the Federal Nature Conservation Act (BNatSchG), a grassland break must be omitted on erosion-prone slopes, in flooding areas, on sites with high groundwater levels and on moor sites. The aim of a grassland demolition ban is to prevent the loss of ecologically valuable permanent grassland. With the agreement of the Lower Saxony road between agriculture, nature conservation and politics, a fine-enforced grassland ban was issued for moor sites, which is legally formulated in §2a of the Lower Saxony Execution Act to the BNatSchG (NAGBNatSchG). The moor sites to which the grassland demolition ban applies were described in detail in the MU’s design instructions and are shown on this map. These include the soil categories High Moor, Low Moor, Flat Covered Moor, Organomarsch with Low Mooring and Sand Deck Culture.
