Groundwater protection areas North Holland
Description
This file is part of the Provincial Environmental Regulation (tranche 8) and was adopted by Provincial States on 18 November 2013. Decision No ‘Nomination 68’. In North Holland we have three zones for the protection of drinking water; water extraction area (60-day zone), groundwater protection area I (25-year zone) and groundwater protection zone II (100-/200-year zone). Within groundwater protection areas, various usage restrictions apply (as specified in the PMV) in order to protect the drinking water interest.
