Energy Certificate for Buildings (ECBS)
Description
The cantonal energy certificate for buildings (CECB), which is identical for the whole of Switzerland, assesses the quality of the envelope and the overall energy balance of a building, as well as its direct CO2 emissions. CEBS Plus adds to this assessment an advisory report for an energy renovation. The establishment of a CEBS is possible for residential buildings as well as for administrative or school buildings, hotels, shops, restaurants or mixed assignments of these categories. The CEBS is based on the standardization of the CEBS in force. CEBS is in principle optional. The canton of Jura requires this in the event of a transfer of ownership or when a heating installation is replaced by a new fossil-based heating system.
