Map of earthquake zones and geological subsurface classes of the Federal Republic of Germany: North Rhine-Westphalia 1:350.000 - analog
Description
For the 2005 recast DIN 4149 "Buildings in German earthquake zones - load assumptions, design and execution of customary buildings", the Geological Service of North Rhine-Westphalia published in June 2006 the "Map of earthquake zones and geological underground classes of the Federal Republic of Germany" for North Rhine-Westphalia in cooperation with the Ministry of Building and Transport of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. There is also a risk of earthquakes in some regions of North Rhine-Westphalia. The map represents the assignment to the respective earthquake zone (0 to 3) and to the geological subsurface class (R: Rocky, S: deep sedimentary, T: transition areas).
