Hydrogeological map of Umbria
Description
Hydrogeological structure of the entire regional territory on a scale of 1:100,000.
The various geological formations are grouped into hydrogeological complexes by lithological, hydrodynamic and hydrogeological role. Are located the main natural emergencies distinct in point and linear and the sources captured for drinking water use, divided into main, minor, minerals. The main wells and well fields for drinking water use are also reported.
Through G.I.S. techniques to cartography it was possible to associate a simple database of sources and wells with the main characteristics resulting from various archives. The piezometries of the main alluvial valleys and the vulsino volcanic aquifer are also shown on the map.
The project was entirely carried out by the Geological and Seismic Service of the Umbria Region, the data of the piezometries of the alluvial aquifers were provided by ARPA Umbria, the data of the public drinking water collection points were provided by A.A.T.O.
