INSPIRE-WMS Soil / Sorption capacity in effective root space BB
Description
The interoperable INSPIRE WMS is a display service that displays data in the annex schema ground (derived from the original dataset: sorption capacity in the effective root space of Brandenburg). It gives an overview of the sorption capacity in the effective root space of the soils of Brandenburg. This map is based on the legend units of the soil overview map (BÜK300) with corresponding assignment of parameterized surface soil shapes. These represent a soil-forming society per unit of legend. Parameters were applied to the individual (area) soil forms, including the corresponding cation exchange capacity (CAC) values, which were determined by field and laboratory studies. The same horizon-substrate combinations were combined and the corresponding parameters (such as KAK values) were statistically derived. The sequence of horizon-substrate combinations in the surface soil forms with their CAC values formed the basis for the calculation of the sorption capacity in the effective root space (see Hennings 2000, linking rule 2.3). According to the INSPIRE data specification Soil (D2.8.III.3_v3.0), the contents of the soil overview map are INSPIRE-compliant. The WMS contains the following layers:
- SO.sorptionCapacityInRootZoneDepth: The sorption capacity indicates the potential exchange capacity of the soil for cations (cation exchange capacity, CEC) in the effective root space.
- SO.sorptionCapacityInRootZoneDepthWithOrganicSurfaceLayer: Sorption capacity indicates the potential exchange capacity of the soil for cations (cation exchange capacity, CEC) in the effective root space, including organic support.
- SO.SoilBody: Delimited and homogeneous part of the floor covering with respect to certain soil characteristics and/or spatial patterns.

The compliant INSPIRE-WMS Soil / Sorptionsvermögen im effektiven Wurzelraum Brandenburg is a view service that delivers data in the annex schema Soil (derived from the original data set: Adsorption capacity in the effective root zone Brandenburg). It provides an overview of the adsorption capacity in the effective root zone of the soils in Brandenburg. The map is based on the legend units of the soil map (BÜK300) with corresponding assignment of parameterized soil forms. These represent one soil form society per legend unit. The single soil forms were assigned with parameters, including the corresponding values for cation exchange capacity (CEC), which were determined by field and laboratory investigations. Identical horizon-substrate combinations were summarized and the corresponding parameters (such as CEC) were statistically derived. The sequence of horizon-substrate combinations in the soil forms with their CEC values formed the basis for the calculation of the sorption capacity in the effective root zone (see Hennings 2000, method 2.3). The content of the soil map is compliant to the INSPIRE data specification for the annex theme Soil (D2.8.III.3_v3.0). The WMS includes the following layers:
- SO.sorptionCapacityInRootZoneDepth: Sorption capacity indicates the potential exchange capacity of the soil for cations (CEC) in the effective root zone.
- SO.sorptionCapacityInRootZoneDepthWithOrganicSurfaceLayer: Sorption capacity indicates the potential exchange capacity of the soil for cations (cation exchange capacity, CEC) in the effective root zone, including the organic surface layer.
- SO.SoilBody: Part of the soil cover that is delineated and that is homogeneous with regard to certain soil properties and/or spatial patterns.
