Audio-video trends - Barometer

Description

Arcom publishes the data for the quantitative part of its Barometer *Audio-Video Trends*. The study is conducted among a representative sample of French people aged 15 years and over. It aims to measure the equipment, reception modes and consumption modes of audio and video content in France. The video component covers both linear television services and their digital platforms, subscription video-on-demand services, video-sharing platforms and social networks. The audio component includes live radio, podcasts and streaming services. The purpose of the study is in particular to understand to what extent the evolution of technologies and offers facilitates or, on the contrary, penalises access to content (and to what content...). A particular focus is made on smart TV equipment and its consequences on usage. The study, including a qualitative section, detailed data on equipment, and a quantitative section on uses, can be found here: More specifically, the data published on data.gouv relate to the quantitative uses section: In an open approach, Arcom makes the database available. **Method of data collection:** Arrangement entrusted to the CSA Institute. They are under an open licence and may be used independently, subject to compliance with Arcom’s credit. Please also keep the Arcom informed of the use of this data in the context of publications (books, articles, etc.).
