Tourist destinations in Brittany
Description
“Tourist Destinations” is one of the major projects of Act 2 of the Regional Tourism Scheme, voted by the Brittany Regional Council in June 2012. The aim is to rethink the map of Brittany for its organisation, its development and its promotion of tourism, on the basis of its catchment areas and reputation.
Tourist Destinations are geographical groups that concentrate tourist attendance (visitor view in terms of stays, leisure and mobility). It is a tourist project territory consistent with the expectations and practices of visitors. The origin of Tourist Destinations is the Morgoat study conducted by the Tourism Observatory of the Regional Tourism Committee, which analysed the traffic and stays of holidaymakers between 2005 and 2008. It is therefore about ten basins drawn by the tourists themselves who formed this map of ten tourist universes of Brittany.
