ANEMOC - Digital Atlas of Oceanic and Coastal Sea States
Description
The ANEMOC (Atlas of Oceanic and Coastal Sea States) model is a continuous database of sea states carried out by retrospective simulations. The dataset consists of several datasets with different rights-of-way and characteristics.
**Datasets present consist only of simulation points.**
**The simulation results on these points are available, on request, from****** by mesh points and time series in hourly step for the following parameters: significant spectral height, average direction, average directional spread, average energy period, average period and peak period.
**Please note that this data comes from numerical simulations and should not be used for the design of structures. They are provided as an indication and are to be completed with in-situ measures.**
### Usage
Knowledge of the swell regime, and more broadly of offshore and coastal sea states, is important in many areas:

### Origin
Simulations performed with the third generation spectral code TOMAWAC V6P1, (Benoit et al., 1996), part of the TELEMAC-MASCARET system.
This base is the result of a collaboration between Cerema and EDF R\&D-LNHE.
