Ingredients of food supplements

This dataset contains all food supplement ingredients known to BEPIAS (via the Compl’Alim food supplement declaration platform). They can be authorized or not authorized in the compositions of food supplements, according to the regulations in force.
Unknown ingredients must be subject to an Article 16 declaration.
These ingredients may be of different types:
* plants or algae
* microorganisms
* additives
* form of contribution
* other ingredient (tote type)
* active substances

**Active substances** are a specific type of ingredient, as they can be incorporated into the composition of food supplements as such or via another type of ingredient (having physiological activity as a secondary plant metabolite, or nutrients provided by a form of intake, or another ingredient).
This dataset is a first version extracted manually. The aim is to update it regularly. This database is under construction and does not constitute a regulatory reference. The BEPIAS and Compl'Alim teams do their best to regularly update and follow the legislation as closely as possible, but the data may not be exhaustive.
