Formacode® Version 14 – Thesaurus of the training and certification offer

Description

The Formacode® thesaurus is an indexing and reference tool for all those involved in vocational training. It was created to translate everyday language into unambiguous language and to propose the finest result to a desk research. It is presented as an organized list of standardized terms for document retrieval in an information system. The Formacode® is useful for companies, training organisations, managers, funders, information relays on vocational training, guidance counsellors, in order to: - Index the areas of training but also the audiences, the means and pedagogical methods, the types of certifications... - Manage databases on training and certification offer - Easily explore these databases It is also used in the reference language for describing information on the training offer [Lhéo ](http://lheo.gouv.fr/)(harmonised language for exchanging information on the training offer). Finally, it makes it possible to make a link between training and professions: At the crossroads between the classifications that characterize jobs and those that describe training, the Formacode® establishes correspondences with the NSF (Nomenclature of training specialties) and with the GFE (Employment Training Group). These correspondences make it possible to move from one nomenclature to another. **Content of the dataset**: the 2024 edition contains files enabling the thesaurus to be integrated into an information system: - Formacode® training areas (Formacode® descriptors for the 65 semantic fields: for each descriptor: code, denominated in capitals, denominated in rich typo, semantic field, synonyms, business synonyms, generic term, specific terms, associated terms, explanatory note, application note, version note, tree code), - The 5 attached lists (Professional certificates/Diplomas/Titles; Software/Tools/Applications/Services; Toolwords; Country; Audiences), - The tree codes of the descriptors of the annexed lists (reconstruction code of the trees of the annexed lists), - The list of 14 major domains (grouping semantic fields into 14 major domains), - Formacode®/NSF alignments (1 file of links established between Formacode® descriptors and NSF codes (Nomenclature of training specialties), - Formacode® / GFE alignment (1 file of links established between Formacode® descriptors and GFE codes (Employment Training Group), - A file to match the descriptors of the previous version of Formacode® (V13) to the current version (V14). Useful for reindexing databases, - A technical note (file description note to facilitate integration into IT systems). **Data format**: Formacode® files are offered in .xls, Skos, RDF for integration into databases.
