Socio-economic characteristics of the municipalities of Île-de-France
Description
This dataset compiles various information on the communes of the Ile-de-France region (identified by the INSEE name and code):
- population (and population aged 3 to 20 years, and location quotient of young people)
- number of families (and lone-parent families, and their location quotient)
- median disposable income
- bachelor's degree rate in the non-study labour force
- worker rate
- Social disadvantage index of the municipality (calculated in the [same way as FDep](https://www.ined.fr/file/rte/242/ELFE_PLATEFORME-ACCES-AUX-DONNEES/BASES_CONTEXTUELLES/20240215_Indice-defaveur_sociale_v3.pdf)
- localised potential accessibility (the number of consultations available per inhabitant per year in the municipality)
The database was built as part of an academic geography dissertation that focuses on social inequalities in health.
