DATA - Land cover database CIGAL 2008 v2 (BdOCS2008-CIGAL v2) - Alsace

Description

The geographical database of land cover 2008 v2 CIGAL is extracted from the database made by photointerpretation in 2011 on the entire territory of the Cooperation for Geographic Information in Alsace (Region Alsace, Parc des Vosges du Nord and Parc des Ballons des Vosges) at level 3 and 4 of nomenclature. Thematic reference images are SPOT5 images (two complete covers, one from 7/Oct 2007 and the other from March 2008). The geometric reference is the ORTHO IGN comic book (coverage of 2007 on the Alsace region at 50cm resolution). This dataset was produced to enable optimal exploitation at a scale of 1/10,000. The study area covers an area of 8330 km2 and covers the whole of Alsace. The database has been improved thematically and geometrically following the provision of complete information from CIGAL orthophotographs of 2011 and 2012 (resolution 20cm allowing a refinement of contours). In addition, a new thematic passage made it possible to locally correct polygons. The information layers have also been generalised and are available for use at 1/50 000th (level 2 of the nomenclature) and 1/250 000th (level 1 of the nomenclature).
