Grid distribution of target species of flora in the state of Bremen
Within the framework of the integrated coverage programme “IEP” of the nature conservation authority Bremen, a uniform methodology has been used to map target species of flora and fauna at regular intervals and for defined sub-areas in Bremen since 2004.
The spread of grids for endangered species in the Red List of ferns and flowering plants in Lower Saxony and Bremen is determined by evaluation of the mappings carried out within the framework of the IEP. The evaluation is carried out only as presence-absence representation. The grid used corresponds to the requirements of the EU for reporting on the Habitats Directive.
