Sensitive Natural Areas of the Alpes de Haute-Provence - Atlas
Description
As part of the "Sensitive natural areas" policy, the Alpes de Haute-Provence department established a departmental Atlas of sensitive natural areas in 2008. This [Atlas des paysages des Alpes de Haute-Provence] (http://atlas04.batrame-paca.fr) comprises 118 sites, 34 of which have been given priority because of their ecological and geological richness, their fragility, their landscape, heritage and identity value. All are representative of the natural environments of the territory: forest areas, rivers and lakes, peatlands and marshes, dry meadows and pastoral areas, heathlands... In 2018, 12 sites were developed in the form of parking areas, hiking routes and signage. This dataset proposes the cartographic projections of Sensitive Natural Spaces, with the list of municipalities concerned and the types of landscapes corresponding to each ENS. * Presentation of SNEs on the website of the Departmental Council: http://www.mondepartement04.fr/environment/natural-sensitive spaces.html
