Signs of the Departmental Plan of Walking and Hiking Routes of the Alpes de Haute Provence
Description
To manage hiking, equestrian and mountain biking routes, the Alpes de Haute-Provence Department set up in 1994 a Departmental Plan of Walking and Hiking Routes (P.D.I.P.R.). This plan represents a line of 6 600 km of trails developed and marked throughout the department. These routes are marked by a directional signage present at the departures and the main crossroads of the Hiking Routes. The file CD04\\_PDIPR\\_signaltique\\_2018.ZIP presents the location and identifiers of the hiking signage furniture installed on the network (id and name of 3 600 poles): * At the top of the poles is a green location ring that indicates the name of the locality, its altitude and its GPS coordinates (on the back). These place names are reported on IGN cards. * On the poles are fixed yellow directional signs that indicate the next junctions, major directions, distances, walking times, markings and the name of the routes. * The walking times of the hiking routes are calculated without the break times, based on an average speed of 4 km/h on the flat, 300 m of positive elevation per hour on the climb and 400 m of negative elevation per hour on the descent.
