Description

The Syndicat Intercommunal d’énergie d’Indre et Loire (SIEIL) has launched its master plan for the development of publicly accessible charging infrastructure for electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles (SDIRVE), under its authority transferred by local authorities. Provided for by the Mobility Guidance Law and defined by Decree No 2021-565 of 10 May 2021, the SDIRVE will make it possible to build a ‘sufficient charging offer for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles for local traffic and transit traffic’. At a time when global warming is accelerating, the aim is to prepare the evolution of mobility in Indre et Loire, by offering a new form of public service, thanks to charging infrastructure, promoting the emergence of low-emission vehicles, also in view of the planned disappearance of sales of diesel and petrol vehicles by 2035. This major development has also already been anticipated by SIEIL since 2013, with the Syndicat having installed nearly 200 charging stations (including 5 rapid charging stations) in our department since that date. A SDIRVE is drawn up on the basis of a detailed initial diagnosis: existing recharging infrastructure, projects, current and projected fleet of vehicles, flows due to tourism or transit ... It is also based on the consistency of the needs identified, the complementarity of public or private projects (where appropriate aimed at other ‘clean’ mobility), the expected changes to the electricity network, and the expectations of local authorities and users.
