Description
The City of Marseille provides photographic collections from its various cultural institutions (Archives, Libraries, Museums, etc.). This dataset includes information on the geolocation of the places photographed, the author, the date, the type of document, the dimensions, the technique used, the name of the background, the precise dimensions of the images and the links to download the images and view the thumbnails. **This collection of 20 photographic proofs was made up of the collection of lots purchased by the Archives de Marseille in the auction hall in July 2012 (note 205 Fi).** It is therefore not an original set. The origin of these documents is unknown. It can be a preparatory production for the publication of postcards. * Nine prints were made by the brothers Neurdein, Étienne (1832-1918) or Antonin-Louis (1846 – circa 1915). * Jean Gilletta (1856-1933) is the author of three prints. * Auguste Garcin (1816-1895) signed a print. The photographic prints are in black and white, all glued on a cardboard support. Details of this collection are presented in the associated pdf file.
