Description
The City of Marseille provides photographic collections from its various cultural institutions (Archives, Libraries, Museums, etc.). This dataset includes information on the geolocation of the places photographed, the author, the date, the type of document, the dimensions, the technique used, the name of the background, the precise dimensions of the images and the links to download the images and view the thumbnails. **These images are from the photographic collections of the Municipal Archives (class 89 Fi) taken by the publishing company ARS.** They were made for the Revue Marseille, a cultural magazine between 1936 and 1938. The photos were drawn on glass plate. These plates were digitised by the Municipal Archives as part of a campaign to protect such documents.
