Pedestrian paths in the Val-de-Marne according to OpenstreetMap
Description
This dataset describes approximately 9 km of pedestrian paths along departmental roads in Val-de-Marne:
* Nogent-sur-Marne: Boulevard de Strasbourg
* Le Perreux-sur-Marne: Boulevard d'Alsace-Lorraine and Avenue du Général de Gaulle
* Fontenay-sous-Bois: Avenue du Maréchal de Lattre de Tassigny (south of Rue Carnot)
This includes sidewalks, pedestrian crossings with their crossing islands and lowered sidewalks. The type of coating and the slope are given for part of the perimeter.
The data comes entirely from [OpenStreetMap](https://www.openstreetmap.org).
**Data creation**
The mapping in OpenStreetMap of pedestrian paths along the Val-de-Marne departmental roads was carried out during the summer of 2024 as part of a [experiment led by the Val-de-Marne department] (https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/France/Accessibilit%C3%A9_Val-de-Marne). The data was produced by two surveying firms and then integrated into OpenStreetMap by [Carto'Cité] (https://cartocite.fr/).
**Data exploitation**
Data are available in the exchange format [NeTEx](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NeTEx), [French accessibility profile](https://normes.transport.data.gouv.fr/normes/netex/accessibilit%C3%A9/).
The conversion from OpenStreetMap was carried out by [Jungle Bus](https://junglebus.io/) using the technical building blocks of the project [AccesLibre Mobilités](https://mtes-mct.github.io/alm-docs/), the software suite for mapping the accessibility of pedestrian roads made available to local authorities by the Ministry of Transport.
This is a demonstration dataset: identifiers are not intended to be permanent and updates will be made on an ad hoc basis. In addition, these data do not cover all the requirements of the LOM Act.
**Licence**
Like the rest of the OpenStreetMap database, this data is freely usable, including for commercial applications, under the conditions of the ODbL license. This requires in particular the mandatory attribution mention (which must be "© OpenStreetMap contributors"). In some cases, the same sharing is also imposed (More information on the page http://osm.org/copyright).
